Jeff Whittington is a songwriter, guitarist, and singer who's been making music since he was a little kid. Jeff and his band Adam’s Farm emerged from the early-1990s Denton, TX music scene, touring the south, midwest, and northeast US for years - playing shows with legendary acts like Uncle Tupelo, The Bottle Rockets, The Jayhawks and even touring briefly with Wilco on their inaugural tour for the AM album in 1995. In the late 90s and early aughts, he toured and recorded with Deep Blue Something, and formed The Hundred Inevitables - releasing two albums with singer and co-writer Toby Pipes.
Since 2010, he's worked as the lead singer and guitarist for PsychoPony - a Neil Young and Crazy Horse Revue. His second solo release, WHITTINGTON (2013), was recorded with Grammy-award winning producer Stuart Sikes (White Stripes, Cat Power, The Walkmen, Loretta Lynn).
In 2018, Jeff left a 22-year career in public radio to write and wander full-time in a self-built camper van with his wife, Nicole and their dog Elli. Many of the songs on his upcoming record - Open Skies - were born during this time of wandering.
The record was tracked in March/April 2026 at Il Podere di San Colombano in Lucca, Italy with producer Rip Rowan on drums, and the board (Old 97's, Vanessa Peters) and it's coming out on Idol Records in January 2027!
Jeff is now based full-time in Santa Fe, New Mexico, but he's still on the road for about six months each year - exploring, writing, and performing. Check out the calendar page and catch a show!
