The cool winds are blowing, the leaves are turning, the days are growing shorter…it's fall y'all!
I've been eyeing that ever-growing stack of books in the study and Nicole and I have grand plans to do a lot of reading this winter and spend time organizing all the stuff in the house. First though…we have a little election coming up next week. What's at stake? Nothing less than the survival of our liberty!
I'll be voting with the best interests of the most vulnerable among our friends and neighbors in mind. I'll be voting to preserve the remaining wilderness we have in our country and to protect the voiceless beings that call it home. I'll be voting for a world where nameless “officers” in masks can't roundup, assault, and even murder defenseless people with impunity. I'll be voting for those who respect my right to vote and will ensure that we the citizens always have a voice in our country.
Let's go democracy!
Upcoming Shows
I've got lots of Santa Fe gigs coming up in November, including shows at favorite spots like Cowgirl and Ahmyo Wine Garden on Canyon Road in Santa Fe. Check my calendar page for all the details.
One really special show I want to highlight is coming up on Sunday November 1 at NM Lumina Connection - a really cool listening barn about 15 minutes outside Las Vegas, NM. I'll be swapping songs and stories with my friend (and awesome songwriter) Nick Davidson. Doors will open and we'll share potluck snacks starting at 3pm. Music begins at 4pm (and don't forget about the time change back to standard time that morning!).
RSVP is required as space is limited. I hope to see you there!
Open Skies Updates
The album is being printed and pressed in North Carolina as I type this newsletter, and should be available to pre-order in early December!
Maverick, the first single from Open Skies has been out for about a month and is being heard on radio stations from Maine, to Oregon…and Oklahoma to Tennessee! You can find it on all your favorite streaming platforms right here.
Please help me get the word out by streaming the tune, sharing it with your friends, adding the tune to your posts on social media…and by adding it to a playlist. Any and all of these things will help the algorithm boost the tune so others can see and hear it.
And please check out official video for Maverick by clicking on the image above. My next single, Ft. Marcy, will be out on November 13. You can preview that tune here.
Peace and Love,
